Current Vintage: OUT OF STOCK (stay tuned for the 2018 vintage to be released late 2019).
The Binder Estate vineyard also includes 5 acres of Malbec vines planted in the early 1970s – a really interesting varietal with its origin actually in France, yet grown most commonly in Argentina today.
The grapes have have a inky dark colour and robust tannins, giving a drier finish to the wine. Rolf Binder Senior enjoyed working with Malbec and used it in various blends, as has his son, including wines such as Shiraz Malbec and Cabernet Malbec Shiraz.
The 2015 vintage was so exceptional that Rolf decided to produce his very first straight varietal Malbec wine. With only 120 cases produced under the signature Veritas label, it’s a wine that is only sold at the Cellar Door and from this web site.
