2011 Hot 100 Wines of South Australia
28 Oct 11
Rolf Binder Wines comes through again as the 2009 Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache is picked in the Hot 100 best wines of South Australia.
Considering South Australia produces just on half the total wines in Australia, and there were 1200 entries into the competition, we are EXTREMELY happy to see one of our personal favourites make the grade. We already know how delicious the Heinrich is, but it is nice to hear it from somebody else!
The Adelaide Review described the Heinrich as, "a finesse not often seen. Good acid retention delivers a balanced, flavoursome palate, quite refined, strawberry and raspberry with supple tannins. Lovely background confectionary flavours that linger with boysenberry and cranberry"
Sounds delicious.
Alas, the 2009 vintage of the Heinrich is not yet available on the shelves, but we do have the equally delicious 2007 vintage available in our Tasting Room in the Barossa, and via our online shopping cart. Click here for Tasting Notes and purchasing details.
