Highness Eden Valley Riesling

2011

The Eden Valley skirts the eastern slopes of the Barossa Ranges, and is known for crisp floral Rieslings. Sitting slightly higher than the warmer Barossa Valley, the two sub-regions make up the Barossa, and give local winemakers more variety and interest in their production of outstanding wines.

The wine is traditional in style with its ripe lemon fruit flavours and good length.

Christa Deans makes all of our white wines. As daughter of Rolf Binder senior who established Veritas Winery, Christa has spent time in the Champagne district of France working with delicate white wines, as well as Wolf Blass as winemaker responsible for whites. Her soft touch and delicacy with the elegance of white wine is truly expressed here, as with all the wines she makes.

“A crisp elegant full flavoured style sourced from Eden Valley fruit. A fine tasting elegant wine exhibiting a fresh and slightly musty aroma with hints of fresh limes. The sensation of abundant citrus characters offers a youthful and fresh palate with good depth of fruit and drying acidity.” Christa Deans, winemaker

"Bright, pale straw-green; the evocative, fragrant bouquet does not prepare you for the exceptional power and mouth-gripping intensity of the palate and its equally exceptional length. Wow, this is great riesling."
