"A Classic Style" - James Halliday

02 Aug 11

The 2012 James Halliday Wine Companion has just been released and the 2009 Rolf Binder Shiraz is rated as a 'wine of special value for money'.

Halliday's tasting notes for the wine are as follows: "Vivid crimson hue; a restrained complex and compelling bouquet of red and black fruit, liquorice and thyme; the palate is generous and almost elegant in structure, with the fruit giving way to fine-grained tannins and a long mineral-driven finish; a classic style." Drink to 2020. Rating 95

You can read more about the 2009 Rolf Binder Shiraz here and you can order it from our order form here.

Other Rolf Binder wines Halliday reviewed and scored over 90 points were the 2009 Cabernet Merlot (93) and the 2009 Christa Rolf Semillon (90), two wines we are very proud of.
