Christa Wins Another Trophy

Christa has a delicate touch with her winemaking skills, and the 2009 Christa Rolf Semillon has just won top gold at the Marananga Sub-regional Wine Show on the weekend.

This award is following on from the Gold Medal it won at the 2010 Barossa Wine Show. Obviously, a stand out drop with these consistent accolades.

The only sub-regional wine show in Australia, the Marananga Wine Show offers local wineries a chance to compare their wines with other wines all sharing the same terroir (patch of dirt, climate, rainfall, sunshine, etc).

The wines entered in this show are from large, medium, small, and teeny tiny winemakers from this small region. Some wines are made solely for the enjoyment of the grower; others are export-market only; some are only sold into restaurants; and others are some of the well-known classics you are purchasing off the shelves at your local bottle shop, or enjoying with a meal at your favourite resturant.
